Thomas Twiddy Sr. Owner/President
Thomas has an extensive aviation background of over 48 years. Owner/President of T.T. AEROTECH the last ten years.
General Manager/Quality Assurance of a FAA 145 Repair Station with unlimited ratings in Avionic, Instruments and Accessories, managed the operation and quality control ensuring compliance with FAA rules and regulations while meeting company requirements and goals.
Field Engineer Senior on the Persistent Threat Detection System (PTDS), Lockheed Martin, Afghanistan, perform camera operation to provide surveillance for the military personnel on the battlefield in support of Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF). Perform required scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, launched and recovered an aerostat. Maintain the Ground Control Station and all related support equipment.
Maintenance Technician on the MQ-5B Unmanned Air vehicle, Intelligent Systems Resources Group (ISR Group) Balad, Iraq, Performed required scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, launched and recovered seven MQ-5B Hunter Unmanned Air vehicles. Maintained three Ground Data Terminal (GDT) and three One System Ground Control Station (OSGCS) to ensure the pilots communication and maintained control of the MQ-5B.
Over 31 years in the U.S. Navy as an Aviation Maintenance Officer and Aviation Structural Mechanic (Structures), assigned to multiple commands: VFC-13, VFC-12, VR-54, AIMD Mayport, VFA-83, HC-6, MATWING One, A-12 program, VA-36, VC-10, VA-42, and VA-176 supporting and operating the following aircraft: F-5, F/A-18 C-130, H-60 H-46, A-6, A-12, A-4 and the T-700 engine. Performed duties as the Maintenance Officer, Contracting Officer Representative, Assistant Maintenance Officer, Maintenance Material Control Officer, Quality Assurance Officer, Training Officer and Material Control Officer, Maintenance Control, staff, Quality Assurance, Line Maintenance manager and held various positions as an airframes and corrosion control aviation maintenance technician and supervisor ensuring compliance with the responsibilities outlined in the Naval Aviation Maintenance Program COMNAVAIRFORINST 4790. Performed schedule and unscheduled maintenance on aircraft for the following systems: airframes, engines, hydraulic, pneumatic, canopy, landing gear, brakes, arresting gear, flight control, engines, fuel, and electrical systems.
